August 2017, Pakistan going to celebrate 70th birthday
MashAllah. Jug jug jiyo mare lal. (feeling like a mom 😉
).
Well these pre-birthday weeks have been so hideous for
Pakistan. Not so long, revise your memories like 10 years. Boy! We were all
used to celebrate August like a Green month, with Jhandiya, Green dresses and
all. But now, especially after the most famous Dharna 2014, August is more like
a political month, I am terribly feeling like “political mela” every year.
Recall last year 2016, when Qadri sahab was giving hint to Khan
for container show in Islamabad. But the sad Quetta incident happened. Ahh, a
year passed out so quickly. 70+ people died on spot, mostly lawyers. I was
hurt.
Ohh, now my ex-PM who has been disqualified by The supreme
court of Pakistan, is on roads. What are you doing man?? Why don't you sit home
& enjoy your retirement? Just leave it on your kids now. Like baji Maryam.
Baji Maryam is one piece, I don’t wanna talk about her right
now. But I really can’t ignore her. Her tweets are like I am watching a Rohit
Shetty’s GOLMAAL (a Bollywood movie) which have no sense at all, but you having
a laugh & on at the same time you’re annoyed of the script writer. All I
can do laugh on baji Maryam’s tweets but they drive me banana. She should
update her script writers or at least re-consult Jugno Mohsin for further
coaching.
So every year someone
is on the road and kills the feel of August. There was a time when some kind of
special shows like debates competition, drama series, national songs were on TV
channels. Why lie? I learn more from drama Jinnah Se Quaid rather than books. I
watched that drama on a black & white screen when I was too young. Like 3,4
time. They aired it every year. Why there is nothing like these marvels. Now
kids need to know about everything, they don’t read books. They just follow
media blindly. They don’t know where we come from?
Let’s see what we can do on our personal level to revive the
true feel and spirit of August.
